Simple Morining Smoothie
This smoothie is a great way to get a big dose of greens, protein, and fat all at once. The best way to stabilize your blood sugar and keep your metabolism optimized, is by feeding yourself healthy fats and protein. You’ll stay full and feel less likely to snack when you pay attention to consuming enough good protein and fat in the earlier part of the day.
GREEN FOR BALANCE
I love using cucumbers in my smoothie as an added form of hydration. My 2 year old daughter even sips on this powerful green protein shake. What’s better than that? If you can get your kids to join in with making the smoothie, they are more likely to try it!
INGREDIENTS
12 oz favorite nut milk, I like almond (Malk is my favorite brand as there are no fillers)
1 cucumber, peeled and chopped
1/2 avocado
2 huge handfuls of spinach
1 scoop pineapple or 1 small banana (leave out if keto or closely watching blood sugar)
1 scoop favorite protein
1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon (stabilized blood sugar)
1 tablespoon monk fruit or vanilla stevia
pinch salt for flavor balance
